As we approach the end of summer, we wanted to give all of our wonderful users something special that's been a long time in the making - a brand new Search experience.
This is one of many things that we wanted to get done before quarter-end for everyone, and we're thrilled to send it your way!
Now, you and your teams can quickly surface the most important pieces of information that's relevant to your area(s) of expertise - all accompanied by a suite of filters, tools, and embedded analytics that make being an analyst, portfolio manager, and investor that much better when you're on Countercyclical.
Here's what's new in this update:
💡 Premium, Advanced, and Event Filters: We dedicated an entirely new sidebar in the Search page to 3 different filter types:
- 🔋 Premium Filters (Available on our Enterprise plans) allow for easily surfacing bespoke information in custom datasets that you or your team brings right into your Countercyclical workspace(s) without the need of writing raw SQL or complex data engineering processes.
- 🦾 Advanced Filters (Available on our Pro & Education plans) allow our users to bring to discover assets that fit a wide range of attributes and criteria like location (down to the zip code level), sector and industries, ranges on fundamental metrics like enterprise value, and so much more!
- 🗓️ Event Filters (Available on our Pro & Education plans) focus on filtering for particular information related to events, such as press releases, merger and acquisition updates, and upcoming IPO news.
🌎 Expanded Data Enrichment: Our previous search results were lackluster to say the least (particularly when dealing with multiple security types). Now, with the help of our wonderful data providers, you can get helpful insights before clicking into an asset such as links to a company's social media pages, company logos (in place of the previously displayed country flag), as well as columns with customizable attributes such as Headcount, Industry, Sector, Location of Headquarters, and more!
🔮 Improved Custom Filters: Customer Filters used to only take fundamental metrics into consideration when you were querying for search results on Countercyclical - not anymore! Mix and match between different filter types and save them easily for reuse for yourself, your team, or your entire workspace.
🎯 Quick Actions from Search Results: Without having to go into an asset detail to create an Investment or Valuation, you can now select from the list of search results to quickly add them to Watchlists or Pipelines, or create Investments and Valuations from them.
🔌 Self-Serve CSV Import & Custom Data Source Connections: We added in a few buttons in the top-right of the Search page to allow our Enterprise users to both import company information (along with financials) right into Countercyclical for valuation purposes, along with connecting directly to custom data sources that sit outside of your workspace. These self-serve features play nicely with the Premium Filters mentioned above - after you've brought your custom data into Countercyclical, we'll map through the data for you and give you the tools you need to actively query, update, and scale your research process.
